The emergency services don’t just work together on life-or-death emergencies.

They also share and pass information to each other when such information could save someone’s life.

So when an East of England Ambulance Service crew spotted a wreck of a vehicle being driven on a public road, they let their police colleagues know about the potential death trap.

After all, medics know all too well what can happen when an illegal road vehicle comes into contact with a pedestrian or a cyclist.

It was no long before BCH Roads Policing Units caught up with what one officer described as an ‘absolute machine’.

The driver was subsequently reported for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition and having a defective tyre.

A spokesperson for the unit tweeted: 

‘RP40 – Bedford Eagle-eyed @EastEnglandAmb paramedics spotted this absolute machine in Bedford, we caught up to it and reported the driver for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition and having a defective tyre’.
