West Mercia Police have reported a tragic incident on the M50 this morning, resulting in the death of a man following a collision between two lorries.
According to a spokesperson for West Mercia Police, the eastbound carriageway between junctions one and two was closed as a result of the collision, which occurred earlier today, February 29th.
The spokesperson confirmed the unfortunate loss of life in the collision and stated that officers were quick to arrive at the scene, alongside emergency services and partner agencies.
Acknowledging the inconvenience caused to those drivers stranded in their vehicles the police extend their apologies and express appreciation for the patience shown.
Officers worked diligently to provide support to those affected by the traffic congestion.
