“We are delighted to announce, that from April 2021, we will be offering two new Transport Manager Qualifications, giving the transport sector, the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) they require to operate.
CPC is a qualification for transport managers operating in passenger transport or road haulage. It has been introduced across Europe with the aim of improving road safety and maintaining high standards of driving.
OCR are withdrawing from the market and we have been working closely with them to understand customer needs. These new qualifications will be closely aligned to the OCR format for customer ease, and we are committed to updating the content prior to launch, to ensure they take into account the latest Brexit legislation.
Skills and Education Group Awards are a trusted partner of the automotive industry. We have a strong working relationship with the DVSA, and have for the last five years, provided the management of MOT Tester and Manager qualifications and the MOT Annual Assessment. Our automotive portfolio supports a variety of roles across the sector. We recently launched our suite of qualifications and accreditations for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles – including buses, coaches and HGV’s.

The costs for delivering the Certificates of Professional Competence with Skills and Education Group Awards are:
Fees for existing OCR Centres:
- Existing OCR Centres and up to two CPC qualification approvals: £300
- Annual Approval to Run: £600*
Fees for new Centres:
- New Centre approval (not currently delivering with OCR): £600
- Annual Approval to Run: £600*
Fees for Passenger Transport:
- CPC Passenger Transport (full certificate) per learner: £125
- CPC Passenger Transport multiple choice unit (online and paper) per learner: £50
- CPC Passenger Transport case study unit per learner: £75
Fees for Road Haulage:
- CPC Road Haulage (full certificate) per learner: £125
- CPC Road Haulage multiple choice unit (online and paper) per learner: £50
- CPC Road Haulage case study unit per learner: £75
Fees for re-sits:
- Paper-based multiple-choice re-sit papers per learner: £50
- On-screen multiple-choice re-sit per learner: £40
- Case study re-sit per learner: £72.50
Additional Fees:
- Additional Site Inspection: £350**
*The Annual Approval to Run Fee includes spot-checks on exam sites and support throughout the year. It will not be billed until September 2021 and will then be billed each year, thereafter.
**Additional Site Inspection fee is for any new sites added outside of the initial set-up.
