Transport for London has opened a consultation on changing London’s Direct Vision Standard.
If taken forward, from October 2024 HGV and coach drivers would need to achieve three stars, rather than one, in the HGV Safety Permit Scheme, with a Progressive Safe System proposed for vehicles not meeting Safety Permit Scheme Requirements.
The RHA are concerned at an absence of detail in the consultation in key areas and will keep their members updated on these matters.

Can London think up any more ways the impliment a tax on companys entering London?
How about making it compulsory for cyclists to be insured and take a test so the idiots ride properly rather than putting the onus on trucks yet again? With obviously more costs to the industry.
