Rafal Czajka, who was 39 years old, was questioned after his lorry had to be stopped by the Port of Dover at the port of Dover on November 16, 2021.
Border Force officers inspecting the vehicle discovered that the hide was built in the bulkhead of the trailer, which was covered with wood boards and secured with rivets, according to the National Crime Agency (NCA).
After removing the board, they found six metal boxes running across the bulkhead. Inside were 45 kilograms of cocaine packed in brown taped boxes.
NCA Forensic experts believe that the drug could be worth around 2.1 million pounds if it were cut and sold at street price.

An investigation revealed that the lorry included a genuine shipment of parts for a ventilation blower which were transported to the Netherlands and headed to Basingstoke, Hampshire.
Polish citizen Czajka was sentenced to nine years in Canterbury Crown Court, following a plea of guilty of importing controlled substances.
