Truckers have been handed fines for parking on a motorway slip-road in Kent despite spaces being available in a nearby service station.
Kent Police’s roads policing unit tweeted at 3.25am today (Sunday) that drivers were parked on the slipway to the Moto Medway site on the M2 at Farthing Corner, between the Chatham and Sittingbourne exits.
It said: ” #TD16 popped along to Medway services after requests for help from @HighwaysSEAST due to poor parking of HGVs.
“TD16 found spaces inside the services and drivers issued on the spot fines. #OpKindle.”
