Volvo Unveils the Most Powerful Truck Engine in Europe

Volvo Trucks is set to launch a revamped engine for its renowned FH16 model, boasting a robust 17-litre design capable of producing up to 780 horsepower and 3,800 Newton-meters of torque. Certified to run on HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) at all power ratings and 100% biodiesel (B100) for the 700 hp version, the D17 engine offers versatility. The gearbox has been upgraded to handle up to 3,800 Nm, with internal efficiency improvements on the 3,000 Nm and 3,400 Nm versions.
