David Mason from Halesowen, has been handed a driving ban exceeding three years after being caught driving a DAF lorry under the influence.
On August 17, he was apprehended on the A595 near Sellafield, Cumbria, with a breath test revealing 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, well above the legal limit of 35.
Mason admitted guilt for drink-driving at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on October 20.
As part of his sentence, he received a 40-month driving ban, was directed to complete 60 hours of unpaid work, and given a six-month alcohol treatment order. Additionally, he must attend up to 10 rehabilitation activity days and adhere to a year-long community order.
The court imposed costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £114.
