Shropshire police have recently launched an appeal in response to a significant increase in reports of “large scale” fuel thefts from depots. Law enforcement officials from West Mercia Police have noted a rise in such incidents over the past week, primarily occurring in the northern regions of Shropshire.

To aid their investigation, the police have released a photograph depicting a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) resembling the one used in two of the reported thefts. The image portrays a lorry featuring a white cab and a blue trailer.

Authorities are urging anyone who has recently sighted a vehicle matching this description, or comes across one in the future, to promptly report it to the police.

Individuals with relevant information can choose to convey it via the West Mercia Police website, accessible at westmercia.police.uk. Alternatively, they can contact the authorities by dialing 101 or sending an email to graham.donaldson@westmercia.police.uk, while referencing incident number 00433_I_20062023.
