Overnight, firefighters battled a fire involving eight lorries in West Tilbury, as reported by Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.
The incident was reported around 11:45 PM yesterday, prompting response from crews stationed in Grays, Basildon, Orsett, and Corringham.

Station manager Dean Riley commended the swift action of the crews, who efficiently secured a water supply to contain the blaze within the lorries, preventing its spread to neighboring units.
Due to the remote location of the site, additional support was requested, including a water bowser from Corringham to aid in transporting water to the scene.
Firefighters diligently worked to extinguish the fire and prevent its escalation to nearby structures.
An investigation will follow to determine the cause of the fire.
