Following a significant collision and fuel spill on the M6, all lanes have been successfully reopened. The incident resulted in a halt in southbound traffic between Junction 7 for Walsall and Junction 6.
The repair of the barrier and the recovery of the involved lorry were time-consuming processes, contributing to the temporary closure. National Highways: West Midlands confirmed that all lanes were accessible again by 2:30 am.
A traffic camera captured a striking image of the incident, highlighting the severity of the crash. Despite the dramatic nature of the collision, reports indicate that the driver, who was transported to Walsall Manor Hospital, sustained injuries believed to be non-serious.
The following video footage has now been released showing the HGV suffered from a blow out before colliding with the barrier.
