In a harrowing incident on the M6 yesterday morning, just before junction five for Birmingham, a lorry driver faced a life-threatening situation but managed to survive. The heavy goods vehicle he was operating collided with another truck before careening into a solid concrete barrier.
The shocking crash unfolded around 10:30 am on the southbound carriageway near Spaghetti Junction. The driver sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention. Traffic officers from the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) emphasized the driver’s incredible stroke of luck, noting that he was “extremely fortunate to still have his life.”
The collision took place on the elevated section of the M6 Motorway, adding to the gravity of the situation. Police investigations are currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. CMPG shared the details of the incident on social media, emphasizing the precariousness of the situation: “The driver of this HGV was extremely fortunate to still have his life yesterday morning following a collision with another HGV and subsequently with the concrete barrier on the elevated section of the M6 Motorway just prior to Junction 5.
