Police Seek Witnesses to Rock-Throwing Incidents on A14 in Cambridge
Authorities are seeking information from witnesses after a series of incidents where rocks were thrown at vehicles along the A14 in Cambridge. The incidents occurred around 10 pm on Friday (29 December) between junctions 32 and 33, resulting in damage to four passing vehicles.
During the incidents, rocks were thrown from the roadside, causing significant damage, including a lorry windscreen being smashed, leading to broken glass in a driver’s eye. Two other lorry drivers also reported smashed windscreens, and a car had its bonnet dented by a thrown rock.
PC Finlay Betts expressed concern, stating, “This reckless behavior not only caused serious damage to vehicles but also endangered multiple lives, potentially leading to a devastating collision. I urge anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.”
