Authorities Seek Public Assistance Following High-Value Burglary at Sam Turners Ltd
Police officials are urging the public’s help in identifying the culprits and locating the involved lorry after a significant burglary at Sam Turners Ltd in Northallerton.
The incident occurred at approximately 10.38pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, when the perpetrators unlawfully entered a unit on the site situated off the A167 Darlington Road.
The burglars fled the scene with a variety of power tools, loading their loot onto a blue curtain-sided trailer which was pulled by a white tractor unit. Surveillance footage captured the vehicle passing through Northallerton at 10.08pm, specifically on the High Street and Standard Way near Sam Turners. Subsequently, it was spotted again at 11.28pm on Darlington Road, headed towards Northallerton High Street before turning onto the A168 Thirsk road.
Authorities are keen to obtain any available private CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell camera footage from the vicinity around the time of the incident. They are also urging individuals who might recognize the two men depicted in the CCTV images or have information about the whereabouts of the heavy goods vehicle used in this commercial burglary to come forward.
