A 20-year-old uninsured male has had his vehicle seized after police stopped the car as a 13-year-old was driving it.
When stopped by the police, the driver explained that he was giving his 13-year-old ‘friend’ a driving lesson.
The incident happened earlier on today in Worthing, Sussex.
PC Tom Van Der Wee, from Surrey Polices’ Road Policing Unit, tweeted:
‘You cannot let your 13-year-old friend drive your car, especially if your vehicle is already uninsured.
‘Giving driving lessons to a child is also not an essential journey!
‘Vehicle seized and adult ‘supervisor’ reported.’
