A South Wales bus operator and three drivers received sentences on November 15 at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court for fabricating tachograph records.
Upon investigation, a prevalent culture of record falsification was uncovered at the company, with drivers consistently exceeding their allotted working hours.
Collectively, they received 10-month suspended sentences and were fined a total of £3,700 (£6,000 including costs).
Their actions jeopardized both their own safety and that of the public, highlighting the importance for operators and drivers to adhere to regulations.
