A Welshpool-based transport company has recently earned special recognition for its safety protocols.
Speed Welshpool was awarded a Bronze accreditation by Palletways’ Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, a UK network.
Accreditation is granted based on adherence to a set of standards focusing on vehicle maintenance, driver training, and safety measures.
George Edwards, Speed Welshpool’s managing director, emphasized the significance of the Bronze FORS accreditation, highlighting its testament to their commitment to safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. He also noted that few pallet network operators in mid-Wales possess this accreditation, which elevates their status in the logistics industry and reassures customers about their compliance and professionalism.
This recognition follows an investment of over £500,000 by the company to reduce their environmental impact. Environmental responsibility is one of the standards required for accreditation, encouraging the adoption of eco-friendly practices to lower carbon footprints and contribute positively to the environment.
